Tragic Shooting at Alcorn State University Claims the Life of 29-Year-Old Brekyra Fisher

On October 11, 2025, 29-year-old Brekyra Fisher was tragically shot and killed during a campus shooting at Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the Industrial Technology Building, where police discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
In response to the active shooter situation, Alcorn State University officials issued an emergency lockdown, urging students and staff to shelter in place until an all-clear was given by campus police.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. Law enforcement continues to search for those responsible for this senseless act of violence.
