LaKeisha Malone Beaten to Death in Evanston, Ohio; Andre Redmond Charged with Murder

On December 30, 2025, 36-year-old LaKeisha Malone was tragically beaten to death inside a home in Evanston, Ohio, a neighborhood near Cincinnati.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Hewitt Avenue at approximately 2:50 p.m. after receiving a report of a suspicious death. When authorities arrived at the scene, LaKeisha Malone was found suffering from critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators arrested 40-year-old Andre Redmond in connection with the homicide. Prosecutors allege Redmond used a “homemade wooden club” to fatally assault LaKeisha while she was sleeping. Court records further state that children were present inside the residence at the time the murder occurred.


Redmond has been formally charged with murder and is currently being held on a $2 million bond. The investigation into LaKeisha Malone’s death remains ongoing.
