On July 8, 2025, 44-year-old Kcoree Warren was tragically shot and killed in St. Louis, Missouri. Months later, three men — Lavar Harmon, Anthony L. Young, and Anthony D. Young (his son) — have been formally indicted in connection with his murder.

Background of the Case
According to court documents, the case began on March 21, 2025, when Lavar Harmon allegedly sexually assaulted Kcoree’s 15-year-old daughter. Police say Harmon met the teen while she was walking home from her school bus, exchanged numbers with her, and later picked her up under false pretenses. He reportedly took her shopping before bringing her to a home where the assault occurred.
Kcoree’s Fight for Justice
In May 2025, Kcoree reported the assault to authorities, seeking justice for his daughter. Shortly after, Harmon’s sister, Lavonda Harmon, allegedly attempted to bribe Kcoree with $12,000 to drop the charges — but he refused. Investigators believe Kcoree’s murder was orchestrated to silence him and prevent the case from moving forward. According to prosecutors, Lavar Harmon enlisted Anthony L. Young and his son, Anthony D. Young, to carry out the plan.
The Murder and Cover-Up
On July 8, 2025, Kcoree Warren was fatally shot. Police later connected the crime to an associate of the suspects, Andrew Klaus, who is believed to have carried out the killing. Shortly after the murder, Klaus’s white Kia was found burned, and he was later discovered dead in St. Louis. Authorities allege Harmon and both Youngs were present when Klaus was killed — possibly to cover up their involvement.

Charges and Indictments
The men have been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges, including:
Two counts of first-degree murder
Two counts of armed criminal action
Knowingly exploding or burning
Tampering with physical evidence
Additionally, Lavar Harmon faces charges of statutory sodomy and statutory rape. Prosecutors have indicated that charges could be upgraded to include murder-for-hire as the investigation continues. The case remains under active investigation by multiple agencies, including the FBI, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and St. Louis County Police Department.
Rest in Peace, Kcoree Warren.
