14-Year-Old Du’Wan Morgan Killed by Stray Bullets While Playing Video Games in St. Louis

On October 8, 2025, tragedy struck in St. Louis, Missouri, when 14-year-old Du’Wan Morgan was fatally shot while playing video games in his bedroom. The shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Hobkirk Drive, when two bullets came through the window of his room.

According to police reports, the gunfire erupted after two groups of teenagers began arguing in the area. Du’Wan was not the intended target, but the stray bullets claimed his life, leaving his family and community devastated.

Du’Wan’s mother and two brothers were at home during the incident but were not injured. His family described him as sweet, smart, and full of life. Du’Wan had recently graduated from eighth grade and had just started high school. He loved nature and fishing and was known for his kind and gentle spirit.


So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, but the investigation remains ongoing. Witnesses told police they saw several teenagers running from the area, jumping fences, and disappearing between houses. Some of them were reportedly wearing masks. This senseless act of violence has left a family mourning the loss of a child who had his entire future ahead of him.
